History & Location

Jungle Lodge Tikal Hostal sits 0.5 miles from the Central Plaza of Tikal and is a 5-minute walk to the entrance of Tikal National Park. The property was first established as the scientific campsite housing archaeologists who studied the ancient Mayan city in the 1950s. The original rooms of those archaeologists, now called the 'Exploration Headquarters,' are still available for guests.
